Vor 50 Jahren wurde auf der IAA der Karmann Ghia vorgestellt, erst als Coupé, später dann auch als Cabriolet. Auf Basis des VW-Käfers entstand damit zum ersten Mal ein auch für Normalbürger bezahlbares sportliches Auto, das durch italienischen Chic und die zuverlässige VW-Technik auch nach einem halben Jahrhundert zu begeistern weiß.
