Am 28. Februar 2005 wurde mit dem Koenigsegg CCR der Geschwindigkeitsrekord für Serienfahrzeuge gebrochen. 387,87 km/h wurden dabei offiziell auf dem Nardo Prototipo Testgelände gemessen.
Heute mittag um zwölf wird am Stand von Koenigsegg auf dem Automobilsalon in Genf eine offizielle Pressekonferenz abgehalten werden.
